This week, we finally obtain the permit to start building our house!
Know the problem is that due to the delay, the building company making the civil engineer work has no capacity to start right now. We still hope it won't be long anymore before the start!
I never expected the process to take so long, so here is a few date on how it went:
We bought our plot in April 2021,
Up to August 2021 we made different sketch, we search for ideas and concepts. We also contacted and met with several Architects.
We decided to work with Reto Fuchs https://atelierfreienstein.ch/. With our inputs he prepared a pre-Project to make our ideas realistic. We received this project after a few iterations in November 2021.
Then we had to prepared the Documents to ask for the building permit. We asked our architect to prepare the Plans and the different Formularies while we prepared the energy concept with the help of an architect and engineer Matthias Stöckli https://www.msarch.ch/. We applied to Minergie, to have our building certified "Minergie-P-Eco", but as the process for certifying the project is long we asked in parallel for "private control". A certified engineers (but you need several ones as they are not certified for everything) can certify that several aspect of the build are conform. We needed certification for the ecological heat production system, for the heating of the hause and of warm water and for the ventilation system. In October 2022 we could submit our project to obtain the building permit. The Minergie. provisory certification came in December.
After a lot of phone calls and some additional documents we received our building permit in March 2023, but this didn't allow us to start the build, we still needed a construction approval. For that we had to pay the fee for the building permit and present fresh and waste water as well as a firing place plans.
Finally the building approval came in Mai 2023. So planning and approval of our project took about two years.
