About us and our vision of sustainable building and living

We are a small family of four, the parents are teachers and scientists (Ludovic for mathematics and physics and Irene for education science and school leaders) and have two daughters aged 6 and 2 at the beginning of the project.

Nowadays, everyone is aware of the future challenges caused by global warming and the excessive use of fossil energies by our civilization. Even if they exist, the solutions to these problems are often unknown or ignored. Most buildings are constructed of concrete, even though this material is one of the causes of our greatest current civilization problems. For most in the construction industry this is the way it has always been done, to build otherwise would mean taking a risk.

With our house building project we would like to show some solutions to the energy consumption of our civilization, not only by reducing concrete consumption to a minimum, but also by many other possible innovations (ex. methanisation processes). We believe that it is of utmost importance to show the youngest generation the challenge of global climate change as an opportunity, to demonstrate to current industry players that it works, and to show possible future builders that responsible building incorporating innovative technologies is secure and not a financial risk.
